Pretty New Flower?

The other day in the yard I found a new flower that I hadn’t seen before. So I got down on the grass, basically sprawled out, being chewed on by mosquitos JUST so I could get a shot of this pretty new flower that was emerging. A little soft, but I GOT it. I brought the picture in to verify what it was. Milkweed! Oops. *blush*

Quechee Gorge

On the way back from the Vermont quilt festival we stopped at Quechee Gorge for a photo opportunity. After one shot my camera battery died (and it is a rechargable battery). SO I had to hope that it was a good shot. Not a great shot but an interesting story. I will have to go back with a FULL battery and take MANY more shots!

Jamming Time is Coming!

I have been out in the yard exploring and am keeping an especially close eye on these blueberries. I even bought some canning supplies at the store last night. Spiced Blueberry Jam production is coming soon!

Indian Paintbrush

On Sunday morning, my niece, Kirsty and I went out searching for wild strawberries. The field behind the house had completely bloomed with Indian Paintbrushes. We searched in the hot sun and found about half a pint of wonderful, tiny, sweet strawberries. Kirsty ate all of the strawberries, so I have no pictures of them but I captured the wildflowers in the field. Okay, I had a few, too.

Holly’s Never Ending Love of Sticks

While George was mowing the lawn, Holly found a stick and settled down to chomp on it. We called her away when George was getting close to the area she was chewing in. When he moved away from there, she darted in to get her yummy stick and brought it back near me to chew on. At least she is getting her fiber!

George’s New Toy

George picked up his new toy last night and as soon as he got it off the truck, he was sitting on it and mowing the lawn. Boys sure do love their toys.

Blowing in the Wind

Every few days i go out into the yard and i find new blooms or other beautiful things to photograph. Here is one from this week that i really like!

Little Liam and the Red Sink

While the boys played Texas hold 'em at Grandma and Grandpa's house, the girls played with my nephew Liam. I took about 30 pictures of Liam in the red sink. He kept making the most adorable faces. Good thing I have gone digital!

Afternoon Nap

George and Holly were pooped after a long Sunday. I must have worn them out!
